Discover the dazzling world of three-dimensional hand embroidery with renowned textile artist and stitcher to the stars, Chloe Patience. This inspiring workshop introduces the beautiful techniques of sequin and beaded embroidery, combining threads, wools, beads and sequins to create richly textured, eye-catching embroidered motifs.

Throughout the day you’ll learn a range of professional hand embroidery techniques, exploring how to build depth, texture and sparkle through layered stitching and embellishment. Chloe will guide you through working with a variety of materials, demonstrating how beads and sequins can be incorporated into your embroidery in both subtle and dramatic ways. Alongside new materials, we’ll also experiment with recycled sequins and repurposed beads, showing how unexpected materials can be transformed into elegant embellishments. A selection of beads, sequins and fabrics will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring along treasured beads, old jewellery or interesting embellishments of your own to incorporate into your work.

By the end of the workshop you’ll have created a beautifully embellished embroidered patch showcasing your new skills. Your finished piece can be applied to clothing, bags or accessories, mounted as a decorative brooch, or simply kept as a sampler to remind you of the techniques you’ve learned. More importantly, you’ll leave with the confidence and knowledge to continue incorporating beaded and sequin embroidery into your own creative projects.

Perfect for complete beginners as well as experienced stitchers looking to expand their embroidery repertoire, this workshop is a fantastic opportunity to explore contemporary embellishment techniques and add a whole new dimension to your stitching.
