Eilidh is a multidisciplinary artist and mending enthusiast. Her work in textiles brings together waste and pre-used fabrics with her love of composting and the creatures and plants encountered whilst growing food and building biodiverse gardens. She has a strong DIY ethic, always collecting materials and learning techniques for making. Everything that passes through their home is fair game for repairing, you’ll struggle to find a sock that hasn’t been patched or darned. 

Eilidh runs regular workshops here at The Scottish Craft School, sharing her deep knowledge and inspirational resistance to consumerist culture. Her workshops help rescue well-loved garments from landfill and celebrate the stories woven into the clothes we already own — encouraging participants to rethink what is really waste. 

In addition to Eilidh’s regular mending and upcycled basketry workshops (both well-loved staples of our sustainable craft programme!) have also added mindful stitching workshops to the schedule, combining Eilidh’s love of hand stitch with her connection to the land. When she’s not stitching, you’ll find her in the garden, tending to her plants and the tiny creatures that keep her soil thriving. In her seasonally inspired mini-quilt workshops Eilidh invites you to explore meditative hand stitch while celebrating the often-overlooked miniature heroes of the Scottish garden – worms, fungi, slugs, and weeds – the quiet forces that sustain our ecosystems.

Eilidh is a passionate advocate for craftivism – using creativity as a gentle but powerful form of practical protest. Through her work and social media presence, she raises awareness about climate and ecological issues and lends her platform to humanitarian causes.
